Every spring I wait patiently for the peony buds, and for the ants that cover them, until the flowers open
The tiny flowers that cover the spring grounds are majestic in their perfect simplicity (Creeping Phlox, Vinca Minor)
The timid hellebore. The flowers always look down as if afraid to face the world. A handy stick can flip them over to pose for a regal picture.
Last night’s dinner. Roasted chicken with vegetables (onions, carrots, rutabagas). Best ever.
